Breast lift surgery with implants

The Risks of Border-Hopping for Breast Augmentation | El Paso TXWhile you may be considering breast augmentation cosmetic surgery to increase your bust size, the procedure alone may not always be helpful in achieving your goals. If your breast skin is loose or sagging, your surgeon may recommend a breast augmentation with lift surgery to create optimal results.

Envy Aesthetic Center, led by board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Marco Gonzalez, provides breast lift with implants surgery to patients in El Paso, TX, and surrounding communities.

When do you need a Combined Surgery?

Breast implants are designed to add back the loss volume in your breasts and improve the fullness in the upper pole of your breasts. However, they are not going to help in lifting the breasts higher on your chest wall. If you find that your nipples are pointing downwards to the breast fold, you may require breast lift with implants plastic surgery.

You may also befit from this combined procedure after your pregnancy and nursing, if you discover that your breasts are not only droopy but have also deflated. A breast lift alone would typically create a sloping breast, but if you are seeking rounder breasts with fuller volume in the top part of the breasts, a combined procedure could best serve your goals.

Surgical Procedure

Breast augmentation with lift cosmetic surgery can usually be performed as an outpatient procedure. You will be first placed under general anesthesia, and then your surgeon will begin the procedure by placing incisions in the marked sites. (The pre-operative markings will be created prior to the surgery and will be done as per the customized surgical plan determined in advance.)

Your surgeon may create an anchor incision or lollipop incision as per plan. Through the incision, they will create an implant pocket underneath the chest muscle. Then they will place the implant in the pocket, and adjust it in its appropriate position. Following this placement, the mastopexy or breast lift surgery will begin.

Your surgeon will evaluate how much of your excess breast skin must be removed to create a tighter, firmer look of your breasts without making the results appear unnatural. Once the excess skin is removed and the breast tissue is tightened to create a perkier shape, your surgeon will close the incisions with sutures and bandages will be applied.

Results and Recovery

In the first few days, you may not be able to see the clear visible results of your breast augmentation with mastopexy because of the swelling and bruising. But as these conditions resolve over the next few weeks, and your breast tissue and implants begin to settle into a more natural position, you will be able to notice dramatic improvement in your breast appearance.

It may take about six months to a year for the final results of your combined procedure to be established as your breasts settle completely into their new position and shape. You will recover enough in the first one to two weeks to resume your regular routine or go back to your workplace. However, you should avoid strenuous exercises for at least four weeks after your surgery.
