The
Procedure
A Breast Augmentation with Lift procedure is performed with general anesthesia and commonly lasts for one to two hours. Dr. Gonzalez will make incisions in areas that will minimize any visible scarring. The type of incision will be dependent on several factors: the type of implant, the size and shape of your breasts, the site of implant insertion and your own body’s size and shape. He will then lift the breast and create a pocket for the implant. After the implants have been inserted and positioned beneath the nipples, the incisions are stitched closed, then taped and bandaged.
You may feel tired and sore for a few days and you should be able to resume your normal activities within a week to ten days. Dr. Gonzalez will remove your stitches five to ten days after surgery. Any resultant swelling will diminish over the next month or so.
